Splendido Mare, A Belmond Hotel, seeks a Restaurant Server Assistant for DaV Restaurant in Portofino, supporting service, mise en place and a seamless guest experience. This seasonal role runs from September to December 2026 under C.C.N.L. Settore Turismo, Level 5, Commis de Rang, with the aim of continued collaboration in subsequent seasons.
Role & Responsibilities
- Carry out food and beverage operations at DaV Restaurant in accordance with company policies, standards and procedures.
- Prepare the mise en place.
- Support the Chef de Rang during service.
- Clean and set up floors, tables, chairs, linens, glassware and silverware for service.
- Monitor the guest experience, from the restaurant layout before arrival through the service itself.
- Help ensure flawless service and anticipate guests’ needs.
Qualifications
- Communicate clearly and appropriately, both verbally and non-verbally.
- Show sensitivity to guests’ and colleagues’ needs and emotions, adapt communication style accordingly, and manage emotions in challenging situations.
- Recognize when a different approach is needed, offer solutions and adopt new ways of working.
- Fluent Italian and basic English.
- A degree in tourism or hospitality is preferred.
- Previous professional experience in a similar role, including school internships.
- Passion for service and ambition to grow professionally.
