The Restaurant Host welcomes and seats guests and customers at Hotel das Cataratas’ restaurants and bars, manages reservations and table availability, handles guest requests and special occasions, and supports high-quality service. The role requires completed secondary education, advanced or fluent English, previous host or similar experience, and availability for a 6-on/1-off schedule and primarily early-day shifts.
Role & Responsibilities
- Welcome and seat hotel guests and restaurant customers.
- Manage reservations and table availability.
- Handle requests and attend to special occasions.
- Provide information and respond to reservation enquiries.
- Coordinate service for groups.
- Keep menus, displays and the restaurant environment organised.
- Support the team in delivering excellent service in line with established quality standards.
Qualifications
- Complete secondary education.
- Previous experience as a host/hostess or in a similar role.
- Advanced or fluent English.
- Ability to serve the public and use computers.
- Availability to work a 6-on/1-off schedule, including weekends and public holidays.
- Availability to work primarily from 8:00 a.m. to 4:20 p.m. or 7:00 a.m. to 3:20 p.m.
- A university degree and knowledge of another language are considered an advantage.

Compensation
