Belmond seeks a Resort Manager for Cap Juluca, A Belmond Hotel, in The Valley, Anguilla, to lead resort operations, financial performance, talent development, sustainability, and the luxury guest experience. The role is part of the Executive Team and offers an annual salary of US$120,000–US$132,000.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Communicate the company’s strategy and goals to department heads and staff, ensuring effective execution.
  • Manage administrative processes in compliance with statutory, legal, and internal requirements.
  • Follow resort standards and procedures.
  • Assist with departmental operational audits, support corrective action plans, and resolve operational problems.
  • Supervise operations to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and guest satisfaction.
  • Oversee Health, Safety, and Welfare procedures to ensure compliance with current and future legislation and relevant regulations.
  • Contribute to the property’s strategic plan and provide regular operational updates to the General Manager; review the plan monthly to track progress and implementation.
  • Stay informed about business trends and local developments, maintaining attention to detail across the property.
  • Integrate sustainable practices into hotel operations and prioritize Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in operational activities and decision-making.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local communities to develop and enhance CSR initiatives and promote sustainable tourism that respects the environment and local culture.
  • Prepare budgets, monitor revenue streams, control labor costs, operating and merchandising expenses, and achieve financial objectives.
  • Ensure leadership teams oversee departmental budgets and costs, particularly FTE, labor costs, overtime, and scheduling aligned with forecasts and occupancy.
  • Comply with directives and requirements from Ownership.
  • Embed Belmond Behaviors and Manifestos in the employee experience.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager and Human Resources Director on recruitment and talent retention.
  • Build a culture that attracts, retains, and develops high-caliber talent and establishes the organization as a desirable workplace.
  • Conduct performance evaluations for department heads and ensure scheduled appraisals for managers, assistant managers, and administrators.
  • Monitor employee grievances and disciplinary procedures and ensure regular on-the-job training in each department.
  • Promote goodwill and fairness, maintain an open-door policy, and demonstrate exemplary leadership and effective communication.
  • Cultivate a service-oriented culture that exceeds guest expectations through excellence and attention to detail.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the property, representing both guests and employees.
  • Represent Belmond with suppliers and the wider local and international community.
  • Maintain positive relationships with members and suppliers, and build strong relationships with the leadership team, staff, and local community while fostering respect for local culture.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least five years of proven senior or executive leadership experience in renowned international luxury hotels, delivering outstanding results.
  • Deep understanding of high-end resort expectations, including environments with an ADR exceeding US$1,500.
  • Proven ability to surpass Leading Quality Assurance (LQA) scores of 90+ points and uphold Forbes Travel Guide Five Star standards.
  • Strong strategic mindset and demonstrated success in business planning and execution.
  • Inspirational leadership skills that motivate teams toward excellence.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities; fluency in English is required, with Spanish or Portuguese as a valuable bonus.
  • Proficiency in hotel management software and technology systems essential for streamlined operations.

Experience
