The Public Area Attendant at Miraflores Park, a Belmond Hotel, maintains the cleanliness, presentation, and safety of public spaces, supporting the guest experience. Duties include cleaning and arranging indoor and outdoor areas, monitoring fixtures, reporting maintenance issues and found items, and using assigned resources responsibly.

Role & Responsibilities

• Clean and thoroughly dust the hotel area assigned by the Housekeeping supervisor.
• Report any irregularities or faults in public-area facilities and equipment to the immediate supervisor and/or Maintenance.
• Clean windows, umbrellas, chairs, and tables in the hotel gardens and outdoor areas.
• Clean and sanitize the lobby and event-area restrooms.
• Check that lighting fixtures in the hotel’s public areas are working correctly.
• Clean up waste or debris resulting from incidents or accidents in the hotel’s common areas.
• Arrange the lobby chairs, sofas, cushions, and tables.
• Sweep areas around the hotel, including the entrance and its surroundings.
• Report any item found in the hotel immediately to the supervisor on duty.
• Use the resources assigned to the area optimally.
• Maintain clean, orderly spaces for all hotel guests and clients.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of previous experience performing the stated duties; at least 1 year of experience performing similar duties.
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests and colleagues in a diverse, multicultural work environment.
• Ability to use disinfectants, detergents, polishes, and specialized tools.
• Ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness, order, and presentation in public areas, with attention to detail to ensure a suitable and welcoming environment.
• Courteous, professional, service-oriented manner when assisting visitors, answering questions, and providing guidance.
• Ability to work in an organized, proactive, and responsible manner and perform physical tasks, including moving furniture, cleaning, and transporting luggage.
