Belmond seeks a creative, attentive Private Chef to prepare refined, authentic, seasonal cuisine aboard its luxury barges cruising France’s waterways. The seasonal, full-time role includes menu creation, accommodating guest preferences and dietary needs, guest interaction and regional market visits, and preparing meals from breakfast through dinner.
Role & Responsibilities
- Create menus inspired by the seasons, local markets and French terroirs.
- Personalize dining experiences to accommodate guests’ preferences and dietary needs.
- Engage with guests, guide them through regional markets and share the richness of French gastronomy.
- Prepare gourmet breakfasts, refined dinners and delicate amuse-bouches for aperitifs.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in fine dining or luxury hospitality.
- Attention to detail, creativity and adaptability.
- Strong organizational skills and compliance with hygiene standards.
- A solid understanding of wine basics and proper service.
- Enjoyment of guest interaction and sharing expertise.
- Fluent communication in both English and French.
