Splendido, A Belmond Hotel, seeks a Pastry Commis for the 2027 season in Portofino. The role supports daily pastry operations and dessert production; the seasonal contract runs from March to November 2027 under the C.C.N.L. Settore Turismo, Level 6s, with the aim of continued collaboration in subsequent seasons.
Role & Responsibilities
- Assist the Chef de Partie Pastry with the daily operations of the pastry section.
- Prepare and produce desserts, cakes, pastries, ice creams and other sweet items according to recipes and hotel standards.
- Ensure precise measurements, correct techniques and consistent quality in all preparations.
- Maintain cleanliness, organization and hygiene in the pastry kitchen.
- Learn and master new techniques and recipes as required.
Qualifications
- Formal culinary qualification specializing in pastry arts or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong foundational knowledge of classic and contemporary pastry techniques.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a flair for artistic presentation.
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented approach.
