The Massage Therapist at Sanctuary Lodge, a Belmond Hotel, in Machu Picchu provides massages, facials and body treatments, prepares treatment rooms, supports appointments and guest recommendations, and upholds spa safety and service standards. The role includes a 14-on/7-off work schedule.

Role & Responsibilities

• Provide massages, facials and body treatments in line with protocols, maintaining order and hygiene and delivering personalized service to five-star spa standards.
• Prepare treatment rooms before each guest appointment, ensuring they are clean, organized and equipped with supplies, linens and equipment to create a serene, welcoming environment.
• Assist with managing guest appointments as needed.
• Assist guests and provide knowledge of products, skincare and wellness practices to enhance their experience.
• Prioritize guest safety and comfort during treatments by following sanitation, hygiene and infection-control protocols.
• Drive sales and make recommendations to guests while ensuring responsible handling of products and supplies.
• Follow company policies and standards, participate actively in training, and maintain clear communication and teamwork with all staff.

Qualifications

• Technical qualification in therapy or a related field.
• Intermediate English proficiency.
• At least 2 years of work experience.
• Appropriate certifications or licenses to practise as a therapist in the relevant jurisdictions.
• Ability to create a welcoming, relaxing environment, communicate effectively with guests and provide personalized attention to meet their individual needs and preferences.
• Strong understanding of health and safety standards and protocols related to spa services.
• High level of professionalism and ethics, including the ability to meet professional standards, maintain confidentiality and demonstrate ethical conduct in guest interactions.
