The Laundry Team Leader at Mount Nelson, A Belmond Hotel, supports Laundry operations during shifts, maintains service and hygiene standards, manages supplies and equipment, and helps oversee staff productivity and preventive maintenance schedules.
Role & Responsibilities
- Keep management informed about all aspects of Laundry operations during each shift.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and comfort to support guest satisfaction, deliver best-in-class service, and maximize organizational profitability through effective use of resources.
- Use and manage inventories of supplies, linen, and equipment efficiently.
- Assist in monitoring and controlling the consumption of chemicals used in the Laundry.
- Plan and implement preventive maintenance and cleaning schedules for Laundry machinery and equipment.
- Assist Laundry Management in monitoring staff productivity.
Qualifications
- Experience providing exceptional guest service and working in a fast-paced environment.
- A friendly and attentive demeanor, with the ability to answer questions.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with guests and staff.
- Previous experience in a similar role, with good knowledge of staff and time management, stain treatments, industrial cleaning equipment, and products.
