Belmond is seeking an IT Technician to support Castello di Casole and Villa San Michele, listening to team needs, advising on technical solutions and delivering projects. Responsibilities include service desk and technical support, service maintenance, user and asset management, and security and compliance checks. This is a seasonal contract for the 2026 season.
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage service desk activities and provide on-site and remote support for user-reported IT issues, liaising with vendors when necessary.
- Keep services operational or coordinate their restoration with relevant companies in accordance with SLAs, acting as an interface between the parties involved.
- Maintain an accurate, up-to-date list of information-system users; cross-check active employees against active user accounts monthly and enable or disable accounts as appropriate.
- Conduct monthly management-defined checks to ensure security standards and compliance with company policies.
- Install and configure IT assets, collaborating with the ICT team on standard changes and higher-level requests.
- Provide technical assistance to clients or groups as needed.
- Understand the team’s needs and translate them into technical solutions.
- Advise on ways to address day-to-day business challenges.
- Drive projects from initial concept through to a successful, robust conclusion.
Qualifications
- A degree in Computer Science, or a high school diploma with experience in the IT field.
- Knowledge of architectural and infrastructural concepts in the Microsoft Windows environment, Active Directory and related services.
- Good knowledge of TCP/IP networking fundamentals.
- Good written and spoken English, with the ability to collaborate with colleagues in international offices.
- Organizational skills and the ability to work independently while meeting manager-set deadlines.
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent relationship-building skills with technical contacts and end users.
- Strong problem-solving attitude.
- Good time and priority management.
- Innovative and creative mindset.
