The Housekeeping Supervisor at La Samanna, A Belmond Hotel, Saint Martin, oversees guest rooms, public areas and the daily operation of the housekeeping department, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, presentation and service. The role coordinates and develops the team, responds to guest feedback and supports department operations.
Role & Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the work of room attendants and housekeeping attendants.
- Inspect the cleanliness, maintenance and presentation of guest rooms, corridors and service areas.
- Monitor quality and hygiene standards and ensure internal procedures are followed.
- Supervise, train and motivate the team on a daily basis.
- Respond effectively to guest requests and feedback, ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Take part in inventories and daily briefings, and help ensure equipment and supplies are functioning and available.
- Support communication between departments and help maintain a positive working environment.
Qualifications
- Several years of experience in the housekeeping department of an upscale hotel.
- Previous management experience.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with diplomacy, patience and strong organisational ability.
- Impeccable appearance and personal hygiene.
- Fluency in French and English; additional spoken languages are an asset.
- Proficiency with computer tools.
