The Housekeeping Supervisor coordinates and oversees daily guest-room cleaning and maintenance at Reid's Palace in Funchal, Portugal, while maintaining luxury standards and guest satisfaction. The role includes team supervision, room inspections, inventory management, staff training, interdepartmental collaboration and resolving guest requests. Annual salary: €19,600–€20,100.
Role & Responsibilities
- Coordinate and supervise daily room-cleaning and maintenance operations, ensuring guest expectations are met.
- Supervise the team and ensure work meets high quality standards.
- Conduct daily guest-room inspections, checking cleanliness, maintenance and presentation.
- Manage cleaning and maintenance product inventories and request replenishment as needed.
- Train employees in procedures and operating standards.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure an exceptional guest experience.
- Address and resolve guest requests or issues to ensure their satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in the role or a similar position.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Knowledge of cleaning and maintenance standards.
- Ability to work as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
- Fluency in English.
- Strong interest in environmental issues related to Green IT and commitment to training in and implementing associated best practices.
