As a Housekeeping Intern at Miraflores Park, a Belmond Hotel, Lima, the role supports guest-room cleaning and upkeep, as well as the presentation of public areas, helping maintain a welcoming and well-presented hotel environment. Responsibilities include cleaning, reporting maintenance issues, caring for furnishings and décor, arranging common areas, using resources efficiently, and following hotel standards. The role is an internship.

Role & Responsibilities

• Clean and dust assigned areas as directed by the Housekeeping Manager.
• Maintain public areas, including bathrooms, the lobby, gardens and outdoor spaces, in optimal condition.
• Promptly report any damage, faults or incidents involving facilities and equipment to the Housekeeping Manager or Maintenance department.
• Clean furniture, lighting fixtures, ashtrays, windows and decorative objects, preserving their condition and presentation.
• Collect newspapers, papers and other waste to keep spaces orderly.
• Polish bronze fixtures and ornamental elements to maintain their shine and condition.
• Arrange chairs, sofas, cushions and tables appropriately in common areas.
• Use assigned resources, materials and equipment efficiently.
• Assist with incidents or unforeseen needs in common areas.
• Follow the hotel’s cleaning, safety and service standards on each shift.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a programme in Hospitality and Tourism, Hotel Administration, Hospitality or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of handling detergents, polish, disinfectants and cleaning equipment.
• Service orientation, with a commitment to hospitality and warmth in the workplace.
• Ability to maintain order, cleanliness and attention to detail across assigned areas.
• Willingness to learn and pursue continuous development.
