The Housekeeping Attendant supports the organization and upkeep of hotel floors and common areas, handling linen, public-area cleaning, room-attendant supplies, guest requests and lost property while maintaining safety and service standards. The position is based at Hotel das Cataratas in Foz do Iguaçu, with a 1:40 p.m.–10:00 p.m. shift.
Role & Responsibilities
- Distribute clean linen to linen rooms and collect soiled linen, sorting it and forwarding it appropriately to the laundry.
- Keep linen rooms, storage areas, corridors, emergency staircases and other support areas clean, organized and stocked.
- Clean and maintain public areas, including windows, chandeliers, floors and high-level areas, in accordance with hotel standards.
- Assist room attendants and supervisors with setting up and removing extra beds and cribs.
- Respond to guest requests, such as delivering irons, ironing boards, amenity kits and other items, within the established timeframe.
- Stock room attendants’ closets and carts with the materials and products required for operations.
- Collect and dispose of waste appropriately, separating recyclable and organic materials.
- Maintain equipment and report any maintenance needs to supervisors.
- Immediately identify and report lost property, following Lost & Found procedures.
- Follow safety standards, use personal protective equipment correctly, and contribute to a clean, safe and collaborative working environment.
- Treat guests, colleagues and other parties with courtesy, discretion and attentiveness.
Qualifications
- Completed secondary education.
- At least 3 months of experience cleaning environments; hotel experience is an advantage.
- Physical capability for tasks involving linen handling and organization.
- Knowledge of cleaning and tidying practices and the use of chemical products is an advantage.
- Good communication, organization, agility and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow procedures and work as part of a team.
- Courteous manner, positive attitude and focus on guest satisfaction.
- Availability to work from 1:40 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
