Belmond seeks a reliable, energetic Hotel Porter to support daily housekeeping and laundry operations at Grand Hotel Timeo in Taormina, helping uphold the hotel’s standards of excellence and attention to detail. The role is seasonal for the 2027 season under the Tourism Sector–Federalberghi collective agreement, with annual compensation of €20,000–€23,000.

Role & Responsibilities

• Transport clean and soiled linen, towels, and uniforms between hotel floors, the laundry, and storage areas.
• Deliver heavy items and guest requests, such as extra pillows and ironing boards, directly to guest rooms as instructed.
• Keep service corridors, floor storage areas, and linen cupboards clean, stocked, and well organized.
• Assist room attendants with moving heavy furniture, rotating mattresses, and installing curtains.
• Collect and dispose of waste, recyclable materials, and soiled linen from floor carts in accordance with the hotel's environmental policies.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a porter, linen attendant, or in a hotel support role is an advantage.
• Physical fitness for the duties, efficiency, and a proactive approach to work.
• Strong team spirit and consistent willingness to support departmental colleagues.
• Respect for guest privacy and polite, courteous manners.
• Basic knowledge of Italian or English.

Experience

Previous experience as a porter, linen attendant, or in a hotel support role is an advantage.

Compensation

The base compensation for this position ranges from EUR 20,000 to EUR 23,000 per annum.
