The Guest Relations Intern at Monasterio, a Belmond Hotel, Cusco, supports guests from arrival through departure, coordinating requests and delivering service aligned with hotel standards. Responsibilities include welcoming guests at the hotel or airport, handling and safeguarding luggage, assisting with taxis, supporting Security, and maintaining work-area standards.
Role & Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist guests at the hotel and/or airport counter, providing cordial, efficient, service-oriented support.
- Receive, transport, distribute and retrieve guests’ luggage in rooms and/or the arrivals area, safeguarding belongings and managing timing.
- Register, store and retrieve luggage belonging to guests in transit, maintaining control and order.
- Provide ongoing support at the hotel’s transport stop and in the arrivals area, according to operational needs.
- Pack suitcases or delicate items, ensuring guests’ belongings are properly protected.
- Assist with taxi service and accompany guests to their vehicles, ensuring an orderly departure.
- Support the Security department by following protocols and reporting incidents.
- Safeguard guests’ luggage throughout their stay at the hotel and in the arrivals area.
- Maintain the order and cleanliness of the work area and equipment.
- Follow occupational health and safety (SST) rules and procedures, as well as the area’s LQA standards.
- Interact personally and directly with guests from arrival through departure, delivering warm, efficient service aligned with hotel standards.
- Coordinate guests’ requests and needs to ensure timely fulfilment and enhance guest satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Graduate of a Hospitality and Tourism, Communications, or related programme.
- Intermediate-to-advanced English for guest service and communication.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- General cultural knowledge to provide guests with accurate guidance, recommendations and assistance.
- Planning and organizational ability to manage guest requests, priorities and follow-up.
- Attention to detail to deliver a consistent experience and personalized service.
Skills
Education
Graduate of a Hospitality and Tourism, Communications, or related programme.
