Splendido, A Belmond Hotel, is seeking a Gardener to join its team for the 2027 season in Portofino. Reporting to the Chief Engineer, the role covers garden design, planting and maintenance, plant and tree care, and irrigation systems; the seasonal contract runs from February to November 2027 under the C.C.N.L. Tourism Sector, Level 5.
Role & Responsibilities
- Design, plant and maintain the hotel gardens.
- Ensure the proper care of the plants and trees on the property.
- Manage and maintain the irrigation systems.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in gardening and plant care.
- Knowledge of operating tools and their maintenance.
- Knowledge of plant health and the treatment of potential diseases.
- Knowledge of safety regulations.
- Effective communication, emotional intelligence and adaptability.
- Goal-oriented, with the ability to provide consistently genuine, high-level service by anticipating and exceeding guest and colleague expectations.
