Splendido, A Belmond Hotel, is seeking a Restaurant Service Assistant for La Terrazza for the 2027 season. Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, the role supports restaurant operations, service preparation and delivery, and guest experience. The seasonal contract runs from March to November 2027 under C.C.N.L. Settore Turismo, Level 5 (Commis de Rang).
Role & Responsibilities
- Carry out Food & Beverage operations at La Terrazza in accordance with company policies, standards and procedures.
- Prepare and maintain the mise en place.
- Support the Chef de Rang with service.
- Clean and set up floors, tables, chairs, linens, glassware and silverware for service.
- Monitor every aspect of the guest experience, from the restaurant layout before arrival through the service itself.
- Help ensure flawless service and anticipate guests’ needs.
Qualifications
- Communicate clearly and appropriately, both verbally and non-verbally.
- Show sensitivity to guests’ and colleagues’ needs and emotions, adapting communication style accordingly.
- Recognize when a different approach is needed and offer solutions.
- Work collaboratively as a team member, share information and skills, and actively seek and provide feedback.
- Fluent Italian and basic English.
- A degree in Tourism or Hospitality is preferred.
- Previous professional experience in a similar role, including school internships.
- Passion for service and ambition to develop professionally.
