Role & Responsibilities

• Prepare and organize the dining room before, during and after service in accordance with hotel standards.
• Set up tables, including arranging and replenishing crockery, cutlery, glassware, napkins and other materials.
• Support waiters and maître d’s in serving guests, ensuring prompt and seamless service.
• Serve water, bread, couvert and other supporting items as directed by the team.
• Clear crockery, cutlery, glasses and other utensils, keeping tables and the dining room organized.
• Replenish items at service points, buffets and support stations.
• Maintain the cleanliness, organization and condition of dining areas, equipment and work materials.
• Assist with setting up and dismantling rooms, tables and structures for events.
• Follow the Hotel das Cataratas’ hygiene, health, safety and sustainability procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a food runner, waiter’s assistant or in food and beverage service is preferred.
• Hotel experience is an advantage.
• Completed secondary education.
• Basic knowledge of dining-room service, table setting and hygiene practices.
• Good communication, courtesy, agility, organization and attention to detail.
• Ability to work as part of a team and willingness to learn.
• Availability to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
