The Food and Beverage Intern at Monasterio, a Belmond Hotel, Cusco supports restaurant presentation and guest service in line with LQA standards, serving food and beverages and coordinating with the team to deliver memorable experiences. The role is a professional internship.
Role & Responsibilities
- Welcome, greet and seat customers, providing courteous service from arrival to departure.
- Take orders and present available options with product knowledge, courtesy and a customer-focused approach.
- Anticipate customer needs and offer alternatives when a product is unavailable.
- Monitor tables and the service area, promptly removing used or empty items and replenishing supplies as needed.
- Keep tables, service areas and service equipment orderly and ready for efficient operations.
- Serve food and beverages in accordance with established standards, ensuring proper handling and presentation.
- Check that dishes, canapés and beverages are presented in optimal condition, and know their contents to guide customers appropriately.
- Keep the supplies required for prompt, efficient service stocked and readily accessible.
- Coordinate with the team to organize service areas and maintain smooth service flow.
- Meet customer expectations for quality, efficiency and timeliness, providing assistance and guidance as required.
- Support the proper presentation of restaurants, equipment, glassware, cutlery and table linen.
- Deliver service in accordance with LQA quality standards and support the team in creating memorable guest experiences.
Qualifications
- Technical qualification in Hospitality, Tourism or a related field.
- Intermediate English proficiency.
- Basic knowledge of Office.
- Knowledge of gastronomy, including dish ingredients and preparation methods, and LQA standards; HACCP and Food Safety knowledge is preferred.
- Ability to communicate courteously and warmly while maintaining high cleanliness standards.
Skills
Education
Technical qualification in Hospitality, Tourism or a related field.

The successful candidate will be located in Cusco, Cusco, Peru.
