Belmond is seeking a Food and Beverage Assistant Manager at Copacabana Palace in Rio de Janeiro to support management across restaurants, bars, room service, banquets and exclusive experiences. The role supervises operations, develops teams, ensures Belmond and LQA standards, and supports events, financial performance and talent development. The schedule is five days on and two days off.
Role & Responsibilities
- Supervise food and beverage operations across restaurants, bars, room service, banquets and exclusive experiences, ensuring memorable guest experiences and impeccable service aligned with LQA and Belmond standards.
- Lead, inspire and develop teams, fostering a culture of excellence, engagement and hospitality.
- Ensure service quality, venue presentation and compliance with operational standards.
- Oversee reservations, stock, inventories and other operational indicators.
- Participate in planning and delivering events and exclusive experiences, including Master Series and gastronomic festivals.
- Anticipate guest needs, personalize experiences and turn opportunities into memorable moments.
- Support cost and revenue management and continuous-improvement initiatives.
- Partner with Food and Beverage Management on strategic and administrative decisions and talent development.
Qualifications
- Completed higher education; a degree in Hospitality, Business Administration or a related field is preferred.
- At least 5 years of leadership experience in food and beverage.
- Experience in luxury hospitality is an advantage.
- Experience supervising teams.
- Knowledge of gastronomy, restaurant techniques and service, enology and wine service.
- Fluent English; proficiency will be tested.
