Role & Responsibilities

• Oversee sales, purchasing, salaries, and expenses across two resort hotels.
• Implement and review financial policies.
• Ensure audit compliance, action recommendations, and liaise with internal stakeholders.
• Produce monthly GAAP financial reports.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning.
• Prepare monthly and annual reports.
• Monitor budgets and report significant overspending, under-budgeting, or non-compliance with approved budgets.
• Partner with two General Managers to implement controls, solutions, and action plans.
• Assist General Managers in establishing local policies, rules, internal controls, and safeguards to support profitability and operational control.
• Advise General Managers, Heads of Department, and finance teams on financial matters.
• Manage treasury and cash planning; review cash positions to optimize use of funds and minimize cash held in the business.
• Review changes to tax laws and accounting policies, assess their business implications, and ensure the finance team implements appropriate changes.
• Support the finance function for new product openings.
• Assist with accounting for hotel or other asset sales, product closures, and ownership changes.
• Manage relationships with third parties, owners, and partners alongside the General Managers.
• Facilitate communication and reporting between Belmond’s regional office in Milan and Cheval Blanc’s corporate offices in Paris.
• Communicate relevant information to Divisional Financial Controllers and General Managers.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Director of Finance or Financial Controller in luxury or ultra-luxury hotels or resorts.
• Strong cluster or multi-property experience preferred.
• Solid leadership skills, a commercial mindset, and a hands-on approach.
• Fluency in English and Italian.
