Belmond seeks a Chef de Rang for Grand Hotel Timeo in Taormina to deliver personalized service in an ultra-luxury setting, oversee a restaurant station, coordinate service, and support junior staff. This seasonal role is for 2027 and is governed by C.C.N.L. Settore Turismo - Federalberghi.
Role & Responsibilities
- Oversee a specific restaurant station, ensuring flawless table service and an exceptional dining experience.
- Present food and beverage offerings using in-depth product knowledge, storytelling, and tailored recommendations.
- Coordinate service timing with the kitchen brigade and Commis de Rang to maintain a smooth service flow.
- Anticipate guests’ needs, preferences, and dietary restrictions, handling special requests with discretion and warmth.
- Ensure station setup and side-stand organization, and comply with Belmond’s service standards.
- Support the training and development of junior service staff (Commis de Rang).
Qualifications
- Solid knowledge of food, wine pairing, and beverage service etiquette.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and storytelling skills.
- High emotional intelligence, elegance, and a dynamic guest-facing attitude.
- Fluency in Italian and English; a third language is a strong plus.

Experience
At least 3 years as a Chef de Rang in fine-dining restaurants or 5-star luxury hotels.
Workplace
This position is based in Taormina, Sicily, Italy.
Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from EUR 25,000 to EUR 28,000 per annum.
