As a Billing Intern at Miraflores Park, a Belmond Hotel, Lima, the intern will support the timely receipt, validation and recording of supplier invoices in Workday, helping maintain accurate expense records, streamline supplier payments and support audits. Responsibilities include reviewing purchase-order documentation, processing and validating invoices, coordinating approvals and corrections, and tracking supporting documents. The role is an internship.
Role & Responsibilities
- Receive and verify documentation delivered by Central Warehouse, ensuring invoices bear valid stamps and are linked to a purchase order.
- Issue supplier invoices in Workday, considering Spend Categories, Cost Centers, withholdings (detracciones), and the taxpayer’s status with SUNAT.
- Check invoice match status and obtain the necessary approvals from Cost Center Managers when discrepancies arise.
- Manage the shared mailbox and attach supporting files (PDF, XML, CDR, and SUNAT validations) to each invoice in the system.
- Monitor outstanding supporting documents with suppliers and report periodically to the Cost Controller.
- Verify the validation of invoices issued in Workday.
- Send validated documentation to Accounts Payable daily and coordinate any required adjustments or corrections.
Qualifications
- Graduate of a degree programme in Business Administration, Hotel Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
- Intermediate-level English.
- Intermediate-level Microsoft Office skills.
- At least 3 to 6 months of work experience.
