Belmond seeks a Bartender for Copacabana Palace in Rio de Janeiro to create and serve cocktails, maintain bar readiness and quality, follow recipes and food safety standards, and support an excellent guest experience across bars, restaurants and events. The role requires at least 2 years of relevant experience, technical training in mixology, cocktail-making or bartending, and fluent English.
Role & Responsibilities
- Create and serve cocktails to a high standard, delivering memorable experiences to guests in bars, restaurants and events.
- Maintain impeccable bar operations, including mise en place, stock replenishment, and the highest standards of organisation and quality.
- Ensure recipes are followed, products meet quality standards, and food safety standards are observed.
- Support a high-performance operation by anticipating needs, assisting the team and promoting excellence in every service.
Qualifications
- Completed secondary education.
- Technical training in mixology, cocktail-making or bartending.
- At least 2 years of experience as a bartender or in similar positions, preferably in luxury hotels, bars or fine-dining restaurants.
- Knowledge of service techniques, spirits, mixology, and classic and contemporary cocktails.
- Fluent English; proficiency will be tested.
