Splendido Mare, A Belmond Hotel, is seeking a Bartender for the DaV Mare restaurant team in Portofino. The role supports bar operations and guest service, oversees stock and team activity, and proposes improvements. It is a seasonal labour contract under C.C.N.L. Settore Turismo, Level 4, from October 2026 to January 2027, with the aim of continued collaboration in subsequent seasons.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support bar operations, including service, setup, mise en place and cleaning, in accordance with Belmond policies, standards and procedures.
- Welcome guests entering the bar, foster a friendly atmosphere, build and maintain good relationships with guests, and respond to their requests and enquiries.
- Plan, organize and control bar operations.
- Monitor stock levels, pay particular attention to use-by dates on perishable goods, and order replacement deliveries as required.
- Supervise bar staff and other bartenders.
- Assist with restocking and replenishing bar inventory and supplies.
- Propose improvements.
Qualifications
- Effective communication, emotional intelligence and adaptability.

- Results-driven approach, with the ability to set clear goals and expectations and maximize resource allocation to achieve them.
- Ability to advise on best-selling prices and review them regularly in line with the Bar Manager’s instructions.
- Previous experience in the same position at a deluxe hotel and bar.
- Fluent in English and Italian; a third language is preferred.
- Good product knowledge.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Very presentable and well-groomed.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with guests and colleagues.
- Attention to detail and guest care orientation.
