Belmond seeks an Assistant Rooms Division Manager for Splendido, a Belmond Hotel, in Portofino, Italy. The role oversees the Pool, Guest Experience, Housekeeping, Kid's Club, Gym, and Valet departments, with responsibility for team coordination, service standards, quality, costs, and guest concerns. The position is offered on an annual contract under C.C.N.L. Settore Turismo, Level 1, with availability requested from November 2026.
Role & Responsibilities
- Oversee the Pool, Guest Experience, Housekeeping, Kid's Club, Gym, and Valet departments, collaborating to resolve issues.
- Coordinate staff, schedule shifts, and ensure efficient workflows.
- Implement and enforce cleanliness, maintenance, and guest-service procedures.
- Conduct regular inspections and quality checks.
- Monitor departmental expenses, control costs, and maximize revenue.
- Ensure compliance with LQA (Leading Quality Assurance) and Belmond standards.
- Conduct team assessments and training.
- Promote a positive work environment and professional development.
- Handle guest complaints and concerns promptly.
- Uphold the company’s commitment to exceptional service and attention to detail.
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of professional experience in an equivalent role within an extra-luxury brand, preferably at an international level.
- A bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or a related field is preferred.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage teams effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with hotel management software (HMS).
- Ability to work flexibly under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluent in Italian and English; additional languages are an advantage given the international clientele.
- Exceptional organizational skills and great attention to detail.
- Solid experience with and knowledge of Leading Quality Assurance (LQA) standards.
