Belmond is hiring a Sous Chef at Romazzino, a Belmond Hotel Costa Smeralda, for the 2027 season on a seasonal contract under the C.C.N.L. Settore Turismo – Confindustria. The role supports kitchen operations, food production and quality control, team supervision, menu creation, and compliance with health and safety procedures.
Role & Responsibilities
- Assist the Executive Chef in managing the kitchen brigade and creating and preparing menus.
- Coordinate food production and monitor the quality, taste and presentation of dishes.
- Ensure compliance with all health and safety procedures.
- Collaborate with all departments.
- Monitor kitchen staff performance and provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
- Contribute to the creation of innovative, seasonal menus.
Qualifications
- Culinary qualification or relevant experience in high-end food service.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and guide kitchen staff.
- In-depth knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

At least 3 years in a similar role within luxury hospitality.
