As an Accounting Intern with Journeys In Peru in Lima, the role supports recording and reviewing accounting transactions, including purchase receipts, employee advances, air tickets and payment-card commissions, and prepares audit documentation. The position also assists with other tasks assigned by the direct manager.
Role & Responsibilities
- Record purchase receipts and verify the validity of each issued receipt.
- Record supporting receipts for the account for advances to be accounted for, validating each receipt.
- Record airline tickets and reconcile them against the Amex card statement.
- Record and apply commission invoices for Visa, Mastercard and Amex card point-of-sale transactions.
- Prepare documentation requested for audits.
- Support other tasks assigned by the direct manager.
Qualifications
- Currently in the final cycles of, or graduated from, a degree in Accounting.
- Basic to intermediate English proficiency.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- At least 3 months performing similar duties.
