About Balmain

The Production Purchasing Intern supports operational purchasing of materials and components for Balmain collections, press needs and production launches, coordinating with internal teams and suppliers while tracking orders, deliveries and purchasing data. This is a six-month, full-time internship starting in September 2026.
Role & Responsibilities
- Consolidate material requirements from different teams for press needs.
- Track supply requests from the production scheduling department.
- Create and track material purchase orders in the ERP.
- Monitor delivery deadlines and flag potential delays.
- Coordinate exchanges between the Collection, Development, Press and Production teams.
- Help prepare and launch fabric and component orders.
- Check the consistency of requirements, quantities and deadlines.
- Track supplier order confirmations.
- Update purchasing tracking tools and databases.
- Help secure supply in line with the production schedule.
- Update and use purchasing dashboards.
- Analyze material consumption and order tracking.
- Check the quality and reliability of data in reporting tools.
- Contribute to improving tracking processes and tools.
Qualifications
- Currently studying at a business or fashion school, in textiles, or in a university program specializing in Purchasing, Supply Chain or Management.
- A first experience in purchasing, procurement or textile production is appreciated, through an internship or work-study placement.
- Excellent command of Excel is essential, including VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, pivot tables, data analysis and advanced formulas.
- Strong aptitude for working with numbers and processing data.
- Rigorous, organized and detail-oriented.
- Able to manage several topics simultaneously in a demanding environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and team spirit.
- Strong interest in fashion and luxury.
