Balmain is recruiting a Production Assistant Intern for its Production Planning, Scheduling and Launch team in Paris. The intern will support production launches, manufacturer follow-up, packaging supply, after-sales cases, and reporting. This is a six-month full-time internship starting in September 2026.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the production launch of production orders and counter-samples.
- Assist with production follow-up for one or more manufacturers, in coordination with Production Officers.
- Manage excess, second-choice, and no-core service orders in coordination with Production Officers.
- Coordinate shipment of composition labels, barcode stickers, packaging, and components for counter-samples.
- Help manage the supply of packaging components.
- Manage the system receipt of duplicates and counter-samples.
- Coordinate the collection of fabric swatches from factories for GB China, US flammability, PFAS, and other requirements.
- Extract ASN templates and send them to factories.
- Help collect information during RFS campaigns.
- Bulk-update production and counter-sample prices in the systems.
- Manage after-sales service cases, including factory communications, dispatch, follow-up, and liaison with the Quality department.
- Support the manager in creating reports and new KPIs for senior management.
Qualifications
- Currently undertaking a university gap-year or final-year internship, with a Bac+5 qualification or equivalent Master's degree, at a business or engineering school.
- A first experience in the luxury or fashion sector is an advantage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; an interest in Excel and IT systems is an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal skills, rigour, organisational skills, commitment, adaptability, and dynamism.
- English proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking is required.
