Balenciaga in Paris seeks a Visual Merchandising Intern (EMEA) to support VM planning, store setups and display tools. Internship based in Paris, France.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the EMEA Visual Merchandising Manager and team in daily VM operations and departmental organisation.
- Manage props ordering, coordinate deliveries and maintain inventory for store and showroom displays.
- Contribute to VM planning, installation and set-ups across boutiques and showrooms, including hands-on support during rollouts.
- Organise showrooms and maintain VM schedules, ensuring timely execution of visual directives.
- Participate in VM conference calls and training to assimilate new strategies and techniques.
- Conduct competitive benchmarking to track industry trends and inform visual strategies.
- Perform monthly audits of displays across the retail and wholesale network to ensure brand compliance.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of display tools, including order management and delivery coordination.
Qualifications
- Strong interest in fashion and visual merchandising.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple, concurrent tasks.
- Proactive, autonomous work style while able to collaborate effectively within a team.
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong verbal/written communication skills.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage.
- Familiarity with retail or showroom environments; prior VM, retail or design exposure is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Internship-level role; previous practical experience or demonstrated interest in visual merchandising, retail or design is advantageous but not mandatory. Candidates with relevant coursework, academic projects or prior retail placements will be prioritised.
Education
Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree programme in Fashion, Visual Merchandising, Retail Management, Interior Design or a related discipline.
