Balenciaga in Paris seeks a Textile Buying Intern for a 6‑month paid internship supporting fabric purchasing and supplier coordination.
Role & Responsibilities
- Assist fabric buyers in daily management of textile purchases for Men’s, Women’s and press collections.
- Receive fabric samples (tirelles), catalogue, maintain and archive sample records.
- Monitor active orders and shipments; raise delivery alerts and escalate delays.
- Follow up with suppliers and carriers to ensure on‑time delivery.
- Update and maintain internal tracking and PLM/IT tools for purchase and delivery status.
- Manage stock replenishment orders and support inventory control.
- Provide general assistance to the purchasing team on ad hoc operational tasks.
Qualifications
- Enrolled in or graduated from a textile engineering programme, fashion school (creation or management) or business school.
- Demonstrable fabric knowledge acquired through academic training or prior internships (mandatory).
- Available, rigorous, highly involved and service‑oriented with strong interpersonal skills.
- Proactive team player with a customer‑service mindset.
- Good written and spoken English.
- Proficient with Pack Office; familiarity with a PLM system is a plus.
- Available for a 6‑month paid internship.

Experience
Internship level: prior exposure to fabrics is required, either through academic coursework or previous internships; experience in sourcing, development or production support is advantageous.
Education
Degree candidate or recent graduate from a textile engineering programme, fashion school (creation or management) or business school.
