Balenciaga seeks a Temporary Store Director in Boston (Copley Place) to lead retail operations, drive sales and develop luxury client relationships.
Role & Responsibilities
- Define, implement and monitor the store action plan to achieve sales targets and key performance indicators; analyse daily, weekly and monthly results and execute corrective actions.
- Set quantitative and qualitative goals, prioritise key KPIs and create a strong store culture and storytelling approach to maximise conversion and average transaction value.
- Continuously monitor local market conditions, competitor activity and fashion trends; integrate insights into the store action plan and identify opportunities for growth.
- Recruit, develop and retain talent: lead hiring in partnership with Regional Retail and HR, build individual development plans, provide coaching, deliver structured feedback and manage biannual appraisals.
- Act as a brand ambassador: ensure Balenciaga signature client experience, visual merchandising standards and brand behaviours are consistently executed by the team; engage VIPs and celebrities as required.
- Oversee all store operations and processes: payroll, scheduling, opening/closing procedures, inventory and warehouse supervision, security of product and assets, petty cash reconciliation and retail compliance.
- Drive cost‑conscious decision making and protect the store’s margin while proposing initiatives that support growth; challenge and improve processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of successful managerial experience in luxury retail, with responsibility for a team of approximately 20 people or more.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and KPIs in a flagship or high‑volume luxury store.
- Inclusive leadership style with strong coaching abilities and experience building high‑performing teams.
- High sensitivity to client experience and loyalty programmes, with demonstrated clienteling skills and the ability to engage VIPs and celebrities.
- Strong organisational precision, adaptability, responsiveness and commercial judgement.
- Product and fashion sensitivity with up‑to‑date knowledge of market and trend dynamics.

Education
