Balenciaga Demand Planning Intern in Paris – Support retail forecasting, inventory optimization, and S&OP reporting in luxury fashion operations.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop and adjust sales forecasts for existing products in collaboration with the Merchandising team on a dedicated product scope
  • Monitor forecast accuracy and analyze discrepancies against initial assumptions
  • Deliver top-line analysis of stock and forecasts for assigned categories with actionable recommendations
  • Maintain critical planning parameters including production lead times, tool stock, safety stock levels, and product substitutions
  • Propose reorder requirements for existing products based on actual sales performance and future demand forecasts
  • Generate alerts on stock shortages and identify overstock risks at the global warehouse level
  • Prepare and distribute weekly sales reports and monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) materials to key stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Currently in final year of degree program with supply chain, operations, or related discipline preferred
  • Thorough proficiency in Microsoft Excel including advanced functions and pivot tables
  • Fluency in both English and French (spoken and written)
  • Strong analytical and quantitative reasoning skills
  • Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrable experience in supply chain planning or fast-growing industry environment is advantageous
