The Supply and Distribution Planning Intern will support Balenciaga’s supply and distribution planning team, coordinating product availability at the central warehouse and in boutiques, and global distribution of new collections and carry-overs. The role covers delivery monitoring, regional allocation, operational reporting and process improvement.
Role & Responsibilities
- Analyze delivery plans against launch dates and priorities set by central Merchandising.
- Lead weekly production meetings, flag variances, communicate priorities, and challenge lead times and quantities.
- Track product receipts through to the central warehouse.
- Maintain proactive, timely communication with central Merchandising on delivery progress, potential delays, and opportunities to bring deliveries forward.
- Ensure appropriate distribution to regions based on central warehouse stock, in line with product strategy and with the aim of maximizing Maison performance.
- Assess and respond to ad hoc stock requests from the central warehouse.
- Coordinate ad hoc requests related to Brand events.
- Provide clear, structured visibility on distribution activity through regular, targeted reporting.
- Lead weekly meetings with Supply Chain and Merchandising teams to monitor operational matters.
- Create, update, and share activity dashboards and reports using Power BI and Excel.
- Help formalize and continuously improve team processes.
Qualifications
- Currently studying at a business school or engineering school.
- A successful initial experience in a similar role, with the ability to identify and resolve issues.
- Organized, autonomous, rigorous, with strong analytical, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
- Proficient with IT tools, particularly Excel; Power BI proficiency is an advantage.
- Advanced English; Italian is an advantage.
