Balenciaga Stock Manager — Toronto (Yorkdale). Manage inventory, shipping/receiving, repairs and store operations for Balenciaga's Yorkdale boutique.
Role & Responsibilities
- Enforce Balenciaga’s Operations Manual and Global Stockroom Guidelines across store stockroom activities.
- Manage daily shipping and receiving functions, ensuring timely processing of inbound and outbound merchandise.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and negatives through cycle counts and reconciliation procedures.
- Receive and inspect merchandise, maintain accurate records and complete monthly store reconciliations.
- Oversee repair workflows: coordinate with CSR where present, schedule shipments, monitor turnaround and communicate issues.
- Maintain and organise HOH to mitigate loss prevention and sales disruptions; prepare and execute annual inventory per Kering guidelines.
- Control supplies and cost‑management for shipping, stationery and packaging to remain within budget.
- Perform opening and closing procedures in accordance with Balenciaga and Kering standards.
- Coordinate store facilities and maintenance activities (HVAC, electrical, lighting, plumbing, fire systems, elevators, pest control) with corporate teams and vendors.
- Submit required daily, weekly and monthly operational reporting (reconciliation, packaging, stock reports).
- Provide ad hoc support to the sales floor and undertake special projects as directed by store management.
Qualifications
- Minimum 6+ years of operational experience within luxury retail, including stockroom and inventory management.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (advanced Excel and word processing) and experience with JDA or equivalent retail/planning systems.
- Proven ability to lead, coach and develop store stock teams.
- Strong commercial awareness, business acumen and proven ability to drive results.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail; ability to prioritise in a fast‑paced environment.
- Effective communicator with regular interaction across internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to lift and move bulk merchandise safely.
Skills
Experience
At least six years of progressively responsible experience in luxury retail operations, with hands‑on responsibility for inventory control, stockroom procedures and team management.
Education
High school diploma required; post‑secondary education in business, retail management, logistics or a related field preferred.
