Balenciaga in Paris seeks a Senior Ready-to-Wear Merchandiser to lead global RTW collection strategy and cross-functional development.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end development of global ready-to-wear collections, ensuring alignment between creative vision and commercial strategy.
- Define and implement collection strategy, balancing categories, price architecture, volumes and margin targets.
- Conduct in-depth trend, competitive and customer analysis to inform assortment and product decisions.
- Oversee collection planning and follow-up development with cross-functional teams (coordination, development, production, retail, wholesale).
- Drive project management for key milestones including showrooms and collection presentations.
- Monitor post-launch performance (sales, sell-through, margins) and recommend assortment or pricing adjustments.
- Supervise and mentor junior merchandising staff, contributing to skills development and team performance.
- Develop and deliver strategic reports and business insights to guide future product roadmaps and commercial priorities.
Qualifications
- Technical specialist with strong knowledge of the luxury/fashion market and key industry players.
- Fluent in English and French; Italian language skills are a plus.
- Highly numerate with strong quantitative and qualitative analytical capabilities.
- Proven ability to manage multiple product projects across different development stages and to drive cross-functional collaboration.
- Experience supervising junior team members and contributing to strategic decision-making.

Experience
Several years of progressive merchandising experience within luxury fashion, with demonstrated ownership of collection development, commercial analysis and cross-functional coordination; prior leadership or supervisory responsibility preferred.
Education
Bachelor's degree in fashion, merchandising, business, or a related discipline; master's degree or equivalent experience in luxury product management is advantageous.
