Balenciaga in Paris seeks a Senior RTW Merchandiser to lead assortment planning and product performance across its global retail network.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Oversee assortment strategy and commercial performance of Ready-to-Wear collections across the global retail network, ensuring alignment with the House product strategy and brand positioning.
  • Analyze product performance using quantitative and qualitative insights to identify opportunities for margin, sell-through and assortment optimization.
  • Define retail assortments and master orders based on store profiles, key looks and seasonal strategy; manage consolidation of worldwide bulk orders.
  • Support the retail buying process, including order review, allocation and coordination with regional merchandising teams for market-specific adjustments.
  • Develop and execute product launch strategies in partnership with Distribution and Demand Planning, setting timing, quantities and market allocation.
  • Collaborate with Visual Merchandising, Retail Training and Communications to align on product priorities, key messages and in-store execution.
  • Lead cross-functional projects involving Supply Chain, Communications and Retail to ensure operational readiness and successful market roll-out.

Qualifications

  • Minimum five years' experience in retail merchandising or buying within the luxury or fashion sector, with demonstrable RTW expertise.
  • Fluency in English and French, with strong written and verbal communication skills for international coordination.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proven ability to work with sales, inventory and performance datasets to drive decisions.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and experience partnering across merchandising, supply chain, retail and visual teams.
  • High sensitivity to product, fit, quality and brand identity with strong commercial instincts.

Experience

At least 5 years of progressive responsibility in retail merchandising or buying within luxury fashion, including experience managing assortments and order flows for international retail networks and coordinating with regional teams.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, or a related discipline preferred.
