Balenciaga in Paris seeks a Security & Safety Intern for a 6‑month paid internship supporting retail, events and site security.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the Security & Safety team in the delivery of projects designed to protect employees, clients and company assets across retail stores, events and corporate sites.
- Contribute to employee awareness initiatives and training to reduce workplace risk and improve incident prevention.
- Coordinate security guard deployments for boutiques and events and act as a point of contact for operational security measures.
- Liaise with external vendors and suppliers on site security systems (access control, CCTV and related technologies) and follow up on implementation.
- Support store opening processes, including conducting or assisting with risk analyses and site security reviews.
- Perform investigative research and data analysis in the context of potential fraud or security incidents.
- Provide administrative support to the department and assist subject‑matter experts with documentation, reporting and procedural updates.
Qualifications
- Enrolled in or completing a Master’s degree in Security, Risk Management, Criminology, or a closely related discipline.
- At least one successful prior experience or internship in security/safety within private sector companies or public/governmental institutions.
- Fluent French and English — spoken, read and written (mandatory).
- Familiarity with luxury retail and/or events environments is an advantage.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan, prioritise and apply procedures and directives from management.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Availability for a paid 6‑month internship.

Experience
A candidate finishing a Master’s in Security or Risk Management with at least one prior, relevant experience in security operations or investigations within private companies or public institutions.
Education
Master's degree in Security, Risk Management, Criminology, or a related field (in progress or recently completed).
