Balenciaga in Paris seeks a Sales Associate (3‑month contract) for the Galeries Lafayette boutique. Apply for a client‑facing luxury retail role.
Role & Responsibilities
- Greet, advise and sell to clients, delivering a personalised luxury service consistent with Balenciaga’s brand image
- Present and merchandise products in an on‑brand, visually compelling manner
- Develop sales and grow the customer database through proactive clienteling and follow‑up
- Process payments, manage tax‑free (détaxe) procedures and ensure accurate till handling
- Coordinate and monitor alterations and after‑sales service
- Receive, label and display new stock; replenish shop floor and maintain visual standards
- Prepare for and take part in inventory counts; maintain and organise back‑of‑house stock
- Contribute to qualitative and quantitative sales reporting and boutique feedback
Qualifications
- Confirmed experience in luxury ready‑to‑wear and/or accessories and footwear sales
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong customer‑service orientation and persuasive sales ability
- Impeccable personal presentation and professional demeanour
- Highly developed product and fashion sensibility; ideally brings an existing client portfolio
- Bilingual in English; knowledge of a third language is a strong advantage
Skills
Experience
Proven track record in luxury retail sales, preferably with experience in prêt‑à‑porter, accessories or footwear; demonstrated ability to develop client relationships and meet sales targets. Ideally possesses an established client file.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certifications in luxury retail, sales or fashion merchandising are advantageous.
