Balenciaga seeks a Retail Trainer for an 8-month contract role in Paris, France overseeing training delivery and development for retail teams across France and Monaco.
Role & Responsibilities
- Assist in executing competency building and talent development in accordance with brand strategies and directions
- Roll out and facilitate effective implementation of training programmes including Brand Image and Product, Retail Excellence, Business, and Client Journey
- Champion training programmes to create a positive and performance-driven culture
- Collaborate with business managers to analyze competency gaps, identify training needs, and adapt training programmes and action plans to meet business objectives
- Manage delivery and quality of training programmes, including planning and coordinating training calendars, venues, and participants
- Conduct pre- and post-training evaluations to ensure effectiveness, applicability, and continuous improvement of training programmes
- Collect, monitor, and measure training KPIs including knowledge and skills retention, employee engagement and performance, and client experience
- Conduct on-site coaching and accompany sales force in implementing key learnings on the sales floor
Qualifications
- Degree in Business, Training, Human Resources Management, or related discipline
- Previous hands-on experience in training and development, preferably in luxury retail or hospitality industry
- Significant experience facilitating classroom training sessions and workshops for retail teams
- Strong skills in training needs analysis, programme development, facilitation, and training delivery
- Mature, confident, positive mindset with excellent people skills to work across different cultures and all staff levels
- Self-starter with solid organization and influencing skills, able to work autonomously
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Client-centric approach with strong fashion sensibility
- Passion for fostering a learning culture and developing talent
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Fluency in French and English
- Willingness to travel frequently in France

Experience
Previous hands-on experience in training and development, preferably in the luxury retail or hospitality sector; significant experience facilitating classroom training sessions and workshops for retail teams.
Education
Degree holder in Business, Training, Human Resources Management, or a related discipline.
