Balenciaga — Paris: Regional Architecture Manager to lead EMEA store architecture and construction projects, managing budgets, timelines and quality.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead design, execution and supervision of architecture and construction projects across the EMEA region, ensuring compliance with Balenciaga design guidelines and local regulations.
  • Act as the principal point of reference for internal stakeholders and external professional representatives across EMEA, coordinating multi-disciplinary teams from inception to completion.
  • Oversee technical scope, schedule, cost and quality controls for boutique, temporary store and pop‑up projects, including feasibility studies, Capex preparation and regular cost reporting.
  • Manage and mentor a team of Project Managers based in Paris, allocating resources and prioritizing tasks to meet commercial timelines and brand standards.
  • Establish and maintain contact with architectural teams to obtain site drawings, technical start‑up information and any location-specific requirements.
  • Perform site visits and produce detailed reports from setting-out through punch-list and opening; ensure millwork and construction quality, identify outstanding issues and drive resolution.
  • Collect and archive project drawings and documentation to track the evolution of store openings and renovations.
  • Organize and manage store maintenance matters related to architecture (distinct from daily operations) to preserve built assets and brand presentation.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in luxury or high‑end retail architecture, store projects or a comparable role within competitor houses or firms.
  • Proven experience managing multi-site retail rollouts or EMEA/regional construction programs and leading teams of project managers.
  • Highly organized, detail oriented and proactive with the capacity to perform under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Strong prioritization and problem‑solving abilities with commercial sensitivity to balance design intent, cost and timing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to liaise confidently with design teams, contractors and corporate stakeholders.
  • Demonstrable technical competence in construction drawings, millwork detailing and on-site quality control practices.
