Balenciaga in Paris seeks a Ready-to-Wear Merchandiser to drive RTW assortment, launches and retail performance across its global store network.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Supervise assortment and commercial performance of Ready-to-Wear collections across the retail network, ensuring alignment with the global product strategy and brand positioning.
  • Analyze product performance using quantitative and qualitative insights to identify opportunities to optimise sell-through and margin.
  • Define retail assortments and master orders by store profile, key looks and seasonal strategy.
  • Support the retail buying process, including order review and consolidation of worldwide bulk orders.
  • Partner with regional merchandising teams to collect market feedback and implement locally relevant action plans.
  • Develop product launch strategies with Distribution and Demand Planning, specifying timing, quantities and market allocation.
  • Collaborate with Visual Merchandising and Training to align on product priorities, key messages and seasonal activations.
  • Lead cross‑functional special projects in coordination with Supply Chain, Communications and Retail teams.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in retail merchandising or buying within the luxury or fashion sector.
  • Proven analytical capability with strong experience in sales and assortment performance analysis.
  • Demonstrable sensitivity to product, fit and brand identity with strong commercial acumen.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a track record of effective cross‑functional collaboration.
  • Fluency in English and French.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency and comfort working with large datasets for performance analysis.

Experience

At least 5 years of hands-on experience in retail merchandising or buying within the luxury or fashion industry, with direct responsibility for assortment planning, order management and commercial performance.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, Economics or a related discipline preferred.
