Balenciaga Production Planning & Control Specialist in Scandicci, Italy. Manage footwear production planning, supplier coordination, and delivery schedules for luxury fashion.
Role & Responsibilities
- Verify feasibility of production programs based on material availability, supplier production capacity, and required timelines
- Launch production with assigned suppliers and develop corresponding production plans aligned with company needs and available capacity
- Coordinate and monitor raw material flow to suppliers, verifying availability, inventory levels, and consumption alignment with production schedules
- Monitor production advancement against agreed plans, analyze variances, and promote corrective actions to ensure on-time delivery
- Maintain continuous supplier contact to ensure alignment on production programs, monitor operational performance, and support issue resolution
- Guarantee traceability of manufacturing phases at suppliers through production advancement monitoring and ongoing verification of planned activities
- Collaborate with supply chain functions at headquarters to receive priority changes, requirement modifications, and extraordinary requests, ensuring correct implementation in production plans
- Develop and update reports and KPIs related to planning, production advancement, delivery punctuality, supplier performance, and material management
- Ensure data accuracy within company systems and report potential issues and improvement opportunities to the assigned coordinator
Qualifications
- Prior experience in production planning or manufacturing coordination at a structured company, preferably in luxury fashion
- Bachelor's degree
- Professional fluency in English, both spoken and written
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
- Analytical capability and problem-solving mindset
- Proactivity, precision, and meticulous attention to detail in data, plans, and operational information management
- Effective priority management in dynamic contexts subject to frequent changes
- Collaborative mindset and capability in cross-functional team environments
- Willingness to undertake frequent business travel to suppliers and external stakeholders
