Balenciaga — Product Development Intern (Knitwear) in Paris. 6‑month internship supporting knitwear development, PLM processes and supplier coordination.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update product development databases: collection overviews, collection plans, development tracking and presentation boards.
  • Operate the PLM to monitor stock releases and coordinate shipment follow‑up with manufacturing partners.
  • Manage the dispatch and receipt of development supplies and samples, including handling daily parcel shipments and receptions.
  • Coordinate tests of prints and embroideries with external suppliers and follow up on corrective actions.
  • Receive and track yarn colour ranges and other material swatches.
  • Process and manage development team invoices using the internal financial/invoicing system.
  • Provide hands‑on support to the development team for day‑to‑day operational tasks and liaise with Studio, atelier and merchandising teams.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a tertiary programme (bachelor’s or master’s) in fashion, textile, product development, textile engineering or a related discipline and seeking a 6‑month internship.
  • Strong sensitivity to product, with a clear interest in the fashion/luxury knitwear universe.
  • Fluent in English (required); able to communicate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Autonomous, methodical and analytically minded with a high degree of rigor.
  • Collaborative team player, adaptable and comfortable engaging with studio, atelier and merchandising stakeholders.
  • Prior exposure to PLM systems is an advantage.

No extensive professional experience is required; candidates with prior exposure to product development workflows or an introductory experience with a PLM system will be preferred.

Education

Enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s programme in fashion design, product development, textile technology, or a closely related field; available for a 6‑month internship.
