Balenciaga seeks a PR and Communications Manager in New York to lead brand communications and public relations across the Americas region.
Role & Responsibilities
- Develop and execute seasonal communications and public relations strategies to promote a positive brand image across the Americas region, including product and brand placements in print and digital media
- Design and oversee unique product launch strategies tailored to support retail pushes and brand positioning
- Manage all public relations activities and press coverage for the brand, maintaining appropriate presence in key media outlets
- Develop and manage comprehensive event programming including location scouting, attendee list creation, logistics oversight, and post-event reporting
- Oversee internal communications for the AMER region, including strategy development and internal posting protocols
- Support global brand partnership initiatives and paid media strategy execution
- Manage retail marketing efforts including seasonal asset delivery, marketing proposals, and lease required dollar activities
- Direct VIP engagement needs including recommendations and logistics coordination
- Supervise department assistants, specialists, coordinators, and interns
- Oversee vendor and partner invoice processes and expense management
- Support headquarters PR, marketing, and digital teams with international press and marketing activations in the US and abroad
Qualifications
- 5–7 years of relevant experience in designing and implementing communications and public relations strategies
- Demonstrated expertise in communication and public relations activity design and execution
- Strong understanding of the luxury market environment and client-oriented approach
- Strong existing relationships with fashion and cultural industry leaders
- Deep understanding of the broader cultural landscape across the US, Brazil, Canada, and Mexico
- Strong leadership and management capabilities
- Strategic and analytical mindset paired with exceptional organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills with ability to engage diverse media outlets
