Balenciaga — Cerreto Guidi, Italy: Plant Industrialization Specialist role leading leather goods industrialisation and production optimisation.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and execute construction trials by studying patterns (cartamodello) and producing physical prototypes to validate coherence between digital designs and actual assembly.
- Use CAD to analyse and optimise models, identify improvements and propose solutions to reduce manufacturing time and complexity.
- Oversee internal production to ensure adherence to technical specifications and quality standards.
- Collaborate with Trainers, Team Leaders and line operators to diagnose production issues, implement corrective actions and propose efficiency improvements.
- Prepare and maintain operation sheets (gamme operative), assign standard times to each production phase and contribute to line balancing to optimise workloads.
- Plan and manage individual and team projects related to industrialisation and process improvement.
- Transfer technical knowledge to production teams and liaise with pellettieri and other suppliers to ensure correct implementation.
Qualifications
- Minimum five years’ experience in industrialisation or similar roles within leather goods or footwear production.
- Proven knowledge of leather goods production processes and assembly techniques.
- Proficiency in technical drawing using CAD; familiarity with MOZART considered a plus.
- Solid working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and line balancing.
- Project management capability with experience planning and delivering technical projects.
- Strong Excel skills for time studies, data analysis and reporting.
- High school diploma (diploma di scuola superiore) or equivalent.
- Good command of English; French is a plus.

At least five years of progressive experience in industrialization, production engineering or process optimisation within leather goods, accessories or comparable apparel manufacturing environments.
