Balenciaga seeks a Packaging Projects Manager in Paris to oversee luxury packaging development from concept to production, managing teams and suppliers with expertise in design and quality standards.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end packaging development projects from concept through final production validation, ensuring compliance with Maison processes and quality standards
  • Design and develop primary packaging solutions (boxes, pouches, leaflets) including technical specifications, feasibility studies, and prototype reviews
  • Drive retail packaging development for permanent collections, seasonal activations, and special collaborations including shopping bags, tissue paper, and branded packaging elements
  • Brief and coordinate with suppliers and production teams; manage prototype development and cost analysis
  • Monitor project budgets, schedules, and production timelines while tracking volumes and order management
  • Act as key liaison between the Studio, Product Development, Industrialization, and Production teams for all packaging-related initiatives, including co-branding projects
  • Identify and implement innovative, sustainable packaging solutions aligned with the House's environmental commitments
  • Research emerging materials, technologies, and manufacturing processes; drive material substitution and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Contribute to the definition and implementation of processes, tools, and best practices to streamline packaging operations
  • Conduct frequent travel between Italy and Paris to support development and production activities

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in project management within luxury, fashion, beauty, jewelry, or premium consumer goods
  • Advanced expertise in packaging development from concept to production
  • Strong knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and quality control standards
  • Experience managing suppliers and production partners
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign
  • Fluent English; Italian is a strong advantage
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities in a fast-paced environment
