Balenciaga seeks a Legal Intern specializing in Intellectual Property for the Paris Legal Department, starting January 2027.
Role & Responsibilities
- Conduct trademark and design searches and jurisprudence research to support intellectual property matters
- Formulate legal recommendations on creative projects to ensure compliance with intellectual property protections
- Assist with anti-counterfeiting efforts, including coordination with teams and external service providers, monitoring of customs and criminal proceedings, drafting of complaints, and preparation of reports
- Support the management of the trademark portfolio, including registration requests, oppositions, invalidation actions, and revocation proceedings
- Gather and organize evidence in connection with contentious matters
- Prepare legal opinions and memoranda on intellectual property and general contract matters
- Conduct legal research and documentation review on various subjects
- Provide general support to the Legal Department on contracts including service agreements, general conditions, confidentiality agreements, and distribution contracts
Qualifications
- Master's degree (M2) in Intellectual Property or Business Law with specialization in Intellectual Property law
- Demonstrated proficiency in legal research and analysis
- Strong writing and communication skills
- Proficiency in English
- Discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive legal matters
Skills
Experience
Recent graduate or student actively pursuing a Master's degree (M2) in Intellectual Property or Business Law with an intellectual property specialization; internship experience or academic projects in intellectual property matters are beneficial.
