Balenciaga Paris seeks a Junior Leather Goods Designer to join its creative team; 2+ years luxury design experience required.
Role & Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret artistic direction themes defined by the Creative Director
- Conduct iconographic and visual research to inform design concepts and mood boards
- Create detailed sketches and design proposals using Photoshop, Illustrator, and freehand drawing techniques
- Produce sketches for lookbooks and showroom presentations
- Provide daily support to the design team including mood board assembly, meeting coordination, and prototype evaluation
- Assist during fittings and fashion show presentations
- Monitor and oversee the development stages of assigned models and products
- Participate in prototype development and pre-production sampling with attention to industrialization timelines and quality standards
- Execute final validation of samples in accordance with production requirements
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in leather goods design within a luxury fashion house
- Proficient in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
- Demonstrated strong drawing and sketching skills
- Fluent English communication; French and/or Italian language skills preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented creative environment
